AUGUST 27:
SAN FRANCISCO TO STOCKHOLM - Depart today from San Francisco for your overnight flight to Stockholm, Sweden.

AUGUST 28: STOCKHOLM - Upon arrival at the Stockholm airport, you will be transferred to the beautiful Regent Voyager. This evening and a full day tomorrow to enjoy the sights of Stockholm. Dramatically situated at the point where Lake Malaren meets the Baltic Sea, Stockholm was founded as a fortress in the mid 13th century. Over time the town spread over more than a dozen islands and onto the mainland. Today Stockholm has five unique districts, each with its own special character.
AUGUST 29: STOCKHOLM - Delight in the beauty of Stockholm for the full day since the Voyager does not sail until 4:00 PM. Points of interest include the Royal Palace, the city's medieval Old Town, The Old Stock Exchange - home of the Nobel Museum, and the Vasa Museum to view the world's oldest complete ship. AUGUST 30: HELSINKI - The Voyager arrives at 9:00 AM and sails this evening at 5:00 PM. The capital of Finland, Helsinki is also its cultural, commercial and political center. Also an architectural delight, beautiful neo-classical buildings surround the town square. Finland, which in addition to the mainland, is comprised of 180,000 islands and therefore one of the world's largest archipelagos. AUGUST 31: ST. PETERSBURG - Arriving at 8:00 AM this morning, you will have 3 full days to explore the many wondrous sights of this amazing city. Formerly Leningrad, St. Petersburg lies at the east end of the Gulf of Finland. Until the Russian Revolution of 1917, it was the capital of the Russian Empire for over 200 years. Peter the Great strived to mold the city into a "Window on Europe" and in so doing transformed it into Russia's artistic and intellectual center. the city begun by Peter the Great in 1703 and completed a century later by Catherine the Great is a legacy of architectural and artistic opulence that has never been equaled
SEPTEMBER 1: ST. PETERSBURG - A second full day to explore this great city, and there is plenty to do! Complimentary excursions available to you during these 3 days include The Hermitage, Peter the Great's Grand Palace Peterhof (or Petrodvorits), Catherine's Palace in Pushkin, Legacy of Peter the Great, Classical St. Petersburg, Highlights of St. Petersburg, and Canal Cruising. The Hermitage, which includes the grounds of the Winter Palace of the Tsars, is one of the world's most famous museums and is filled with room after room of famous pieces of art in many forms. Original pieces of almost every renowned painter will be found such as Monet, Cezanne, Degas, Van Gogh, da Vinci, Renoir, and the Dutch Masters. You could spend all three days in the Hermitage, but there are so many other things to see as well.
SEPTEMBER 2: ST. A white marble grand staircase, a baroque Grand Hall with gilded carvings and ceiling paintings, and a Grand Dining Room with china made for Catherine the Great. Plus there are St. Isaac's Cathedral, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Church on Spilt Blood, Field of Mars, The Mariinsky Theater, and Palace Square. Set sail this evening at 6:00 PM.

SEPTEMBER 4: VISBY - The Voyager arrives at 8:00 AM and sails today at 2:00 PM. Visby is the largest city on the island of Gotland which is, in turn, the largest island in the Baltic Sea. Located just 50 miles east of mainland Sweden, Gotland is a province of Sweden. During the Middle Ages, Visby was one of the most powerful cities in Europe. The entire island is full of ruins and artifacts from the Viking period and Middle Ages. The town of Visby is surrounded by the Visby Ringwall, a huge 13th century stone wall that encloses the city and makes for a dramatic entrance. Inside the wall, Visby beckons with its mixture of modern and medieval times. Today Visby is best known as the Town of Roses & Ruins and one of Sweden's most popular vacation destinations.
SEPTEMBER 5: COPENHAGEN - The Voyager arrives at 8:00 AM and sails today at 4:00 PM. The royal capital of Denmark and one of Europe's oldest capitals. Copenhagen has grown from a quaint fishing village in the 12th century to a center of commercial and cultural importance today. Enjoy the Nyhavn district, a longtime seafarer's favorite filled with fun shops and cafes, See Copenhagen's new opera house and the Royal Palace residence of the Queen complete with changing of the guards, the famous Tivoli Gardens, and the equally famous Little Mermaid Statue.
